Do I need ISTQB Foundation Level to take ISTQB Gen AI?
Yes. ISTQB Foundation Level must be obtained before taking the ISTQB Testing with Generative AI exam.
What is the exam format and time limit?
The exam is 40 questions in 60 minutes, with additional time available when English is not your primary language.
What topics does the syllabus cover?
The syllabus covers: (1) Generative AI foundations for testing; (2) prompt engineering for test tasks plus evaluating/refining outputs; (3) risks and mitigations (including privacy/security and ethical use); (4) LLM-powered test infrastructure (including RAG and agents); and (5) deploying and integrating GenAI in test organizations.
